Samsung unveiled its much-awaited flagship phone, the Samsung Galaxy S23. We are sure you were waiting for it as eagerly as we were. But what’s new in the Samsung S23 Ultra series? When’s the release date? Here we will discuss the specifications and what is the first impression.
A Quick Look at its Camera
Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra gets the biggest camera upgrade in years. The new high-end phone has a 200-megapixel camera, double the resolution of its predecessor, the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Samsung s23 Ultra: Display
Samsung s23 Ultra Display is still a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 3088 x 1440. That’s 500 pixels per inch. The refresh rate can be increased from 1Hz to 120Hz for super-smooth scrolling and gaming, while the lower range helps preserve battery life with static content. Much of this remains the same as the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Samsung claims the Galaxy S23 Ultra can boost the brightness to 1,750 nits, which is very bright. There’s also an enhanced comfort feature that lets you adjust color tone and contrast to reduce eye strain; Vision enhancement now adjusts to three light levels, instead of two.
Design
The Galaxy S23 Ultra has a similar design to its predecessor, but the screen is a bit flatter. Overall, Samsung hasn’t changed much in terms of interface, but the camera module is slightly larger than last year. This is partly due to the new 200MP main sensor.
At 0.35 inches thick and 8.25 ounces in weight, the Galaxy S23 Ultra isn’t a small device. Part of the reason for the thickness is that the S Pen is still housed inside the phone, making it much more convenient than being an external accessory that requires a case to hold the pen.
As for the color of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, you can choose between Gloss Black, Cream, Green, or Lavender Purple. The additional colors will be exclusive to Samsung.com, namely Lime, Graphite, Sky Blue, and Red.

Performance
The Galaxy S23 Ultra, like its siblings, is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, a slight upgrade of the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It has a higher core clock of 3.36 GHz compared to 3.2 GHz.
Otherwise, it’s the same chip you’ll find in other flagship Android phones due out in 2023. The Adreno 740 GPU is Qualcomm’s most powerful yet, and Samsung claims the S23 Ultra delivers “mobile graphics.” fastest in the world”. Add to that the new cooling system that Samsung has developed and we may have a contender for the best gaming phone.
For 5G, the Galaxy S23 Ultra supports sub-6GHz and mmWave technologies. Wi-Fi 6E support is also built-in.
Battery Life
The battery of the Samsung S23 Ultra is theoretically nearly identical to that of the 2022 model, with both smartphones sporting a 5,000mAh battery.
However, Samsung claims that new hardware efficiency and improved software integration allow the Galaxy S3 Ultra to be 20% more energy efficient, allowing for that extended battery life.
